March of Gratitude Day 1: My Wife

Day 1 of March of Gratitude – I am grateful for my wife.

I am unable to fully express in my limited vocabulary how much she means to me. This woman has been through so much: being married to me (which is hard enough), cancer, mastectomy and multiple surgeries, rounds and rounds of tests and scans, and more. Yet, every day she takes a moment to put me ahead of what she’s going through and takes does it without fail. She also does this for our daughter, our families, and so many people each and every day.

She encourages me to chase my dreams and goals. She nudges me to act instead of only think. She cleans up the messes I leave in my wake when I do head off, forging some path forward. She is patient with me to a fault, waiting for me to realize again how wonderful and beautiful and amazing she really is.

I can confidently say that my life is 10x better with her in it. Without her, I’d just be some miserable idiot with bad relationships, constantly griping about some missed opportunity (that was my fault) and probably wasting my life away with something unproductive, perhaps even worse. I married way up!

Thank you, babe – I am so grateful that you chose me!
