Day 10 of March of Gratitude and I’m grateful that I am alive today.
I’m not trying to be morbid or a downer – this is a joyful statement!
This life is not guaranteed and can be snatched away from us in an instant – and not just from death. Tomorrow a serious medical diagnosis, natural disaster, job loss, shocking news, financial ruin, a bad accident, or a number of things could happen that could change your life significantly enough that you can’t go back to how you are living today.
I have a bad habit of not being in the moment. I’ll think about the future, what has to get done, what could be done better, where I want my life to be in…and forget to be living in the now. There are so many moments that I’ve missed because I’m focused on something (or some time) else. I’ve had plenty of life-changing events happen so your think I’d learn.
That’s one of the reasons I wanted to commit to thirty days of public gratitude all month long. So far, I’m noticing a difference in my attitude and enjoyment of the moment (most of the time…)!
What are you #Grateful for today?
