To be honest, I’ve struggled a bit this past week with my daily gratitude posts.
Don’t worry – this ain’t a pity party – I still believe in the power of intentional gratitude! But there’s so much happening these days that my prepared list feels too insignificant.
So, my remedy is to continue sharing the little moments like these. The story is my daughter loves the Snapchat AR filters with the puppy or cat. We could sit and make a dozen goofy photos or videos and she’d want to make a dozen more.
It’s different trying to work from home. I’m sandwiched between a bunch of toys in the basement, the chair I’m using is comfortable but not ergonomic at all, I’m definitely getting fewer steps in, and my water intake sucks.
But the thing about #wfh is that I can walk upstairs and have a moment like this in between meetings. She’ll say “phone call!” (as in Daddy was in a phone call), we’ll play for a bit, and then I can scoot back downstairs for the next meeting. Ten minutes, tops.
People are getting laid off, some are sick or worse, many are barely making ends meet…
If this is what I have to do for the next few weeks or more, I think I can make it work…from home.
